What is TampaLoveBirds?+

TampaLoveBirds is an online bird store established in 2011. We sell Lovebirds of different colors and ages, plus a large variety of other birds. All available birds are posted on our website.

Are you open to the public?+

No. We are an online-only business. Our Tampa location is by appointment only when applicable, and each case may be different.

Do you have partner stores?+

Yes. We have partner stores across the United States, and not all birds are located at our farm.

Do birds come with health certificates?+

No. Birds do not come with health certificates.

Bird Listings & Availability

How to read listings, ages, mutations, and what we sell.

Are all available birds listed on your website?+

Yes. Every bird currently available is posted on our website.

What information is included in each bird listing?+

Each listing describes the bird’s age, sex (estimated unless labeled otherwise), and mutation/color. If a bird is tame or hand-fed, it will be labeled on the post.

What birds do you sell besides Lovebirds?+

Depending on availability, we may have Quaker Parrots, Cockatiels, Canaries, Finches, Parakeets, Indian Ringnecks, African Greys, Amazon Parrots, Macaws, Green Cheek Conures, Sun Conures, Cockatoos, and more.

Do you sell baby and adult birds?+

Yes. We may have birds available as babies or adults depending on each listing.

Do you sell unweaned birds for customers to hand-feed?+

No. We do not sell unweaned birds or babies from the nest. Birds are either fully weaned or eating on their own.

How is the sex of birds determined?+

Sex is determined by pelvic bone evaluation and is about 60% accurate. We do not offer DNA sexing unless a bird is specifically labeled as DNA-tested or proven.

Tip: If DNA testing is included, it will be clearly stated in that bird’s listing.

Processing Time & Pickup

How long orders take and when pickup is available.

What is the processing time for orders?+

Every order has a processing time of 10 to 15 days to have the birds ready for shipping or pickup.

Can processing time change?+

Yes. Processing time may change due to weather, low inventory, logistics problems, short staff, and other circumstances. Patience is required and no order should be made with a rush.

Do you offer rush orders?+

No. Handling live birds takes patience and is delicate. It cannot be done in a rush for the safety of the birds.

Do you offer in-person pickup?+

Yes, but only for some specific birds. Not all birds qualify because some birds are located at partner stores across the U.S. and not all are at our farm.

Shipping (USPS & Delta)

Which birds ship, delivery times, costs, and pickup rules.

What shipping methods do you offer?+

We offer USPS Live Express shipping for small and medium birds, and Delta Airlines cargo shipping for same-day and larger/mixed shipments.

Which birds can be shipped with USPS Live Express?+

USPS Live Express is available for small and medium birds. Large birds like Macaws, Amazon Parrots, African Greys, Cockatoos, and similar large exotic birds do not ship via USPS.

How long does USPS shipping take?+

USPS Live Express typically takes 1 to 2 days after the birds are dropped off at the Post Office.

Will USPS deliver to my house or do I pick up at the Post Office?+

This depends on your local Post Office. Some offices call when birds arrive for pickup. Others attempt delivery first; if no one is home, the birds may be returned to the Post Office and you may be called to pick them up.

What ID is required for USPS pickup?+

You must have a photo ID, and only the person listed on the order shipping form will be able to pick up the birds.

How much does USPS Live Express shipping cost?+

USPS Live Express shipping starts at $75 for up to 10 Lovebirds in the cart. If more than 10 small/medium birds are added, an additional shipping fee is collected for every 10 birds added.

How are birds shipped (packaging)?+

Birds travel in a special live-bird shipping container with food and water to help ensure a safe trip.

How much does Delta Airlines shipping cost?+

Delta Airlines cargo shipping is $350.

What is the benefit of Delta shipping?+

Delta shipping arrives the same day and can include multiple species (including larger birds) in the same shipment, which can save money when ordering large quantities, especially wholesale.

Where do I pick up a Delta shipment?+

Customers must go in person to Delta Airlines cargo to pick up birds, and a photo ID is required.

Claims, Refunds & Wholesale

Live arrival claims, final sale policy, store credit, and wholesale rules.

Do you offer a live arrival guarantee?+

Yes, but only for birds that arrive deceased (dead on arrival).

How do I file a live arrival claim?+

Claims must be made by email with pictures and a full report within 5 to 10 minutes after pickup. If an incident is not reported within that time, it will not be covered.

Do you cover shipping injuries (broken legs, wings, or beaks)?+

No. We do not cover broken legs, wings, or beaks during travel. Damage claims must be filed directly with the carrier (USPS or airline).

Are orders refundable?+

No. All sales are final and non-refundable.

Can I cancel or exchange my order?+

No. Orders cannot be canceled or exchanged under any circumstance, even if birds have not shipped yet.

If I qualify for a refund, how is it issued?+

If you qualify, the refund will be honored as store credit for your next purchase. Credits do not expire.

Are store credits transferable?+

Credits are not transferable unless you request permission and it is accepted by our company.

Do you offer wholesale deals?+

Yes. Wholesale deals are available for pet stores, resellers, and stores. Packages are posted under our Wholesale category. Prices are non-negotiable.

Can I pick specific Lovebird colors in wholesale deals?+

No. Wholesale Lovebird orders are mixed colors. We focus on completing the quantity ordered rather than selecting specific colors.

Which Lovebird types are NOT included in wholesale deals?+

Wholesale deals do not include Lutinos, Albinos, Creaminos, Decinos, or Sables. Wholesale is typically a mix of Fisher and Peach Face Lovebirds in assorted colors (not extremely rare/expensive types).
